Wednesday, March 24: “Rejoice and Be Glad in It”

Psalm 118:24

New Revised Standard Version: This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
The Message (Version):
This is the very day God acted— let’s celebrate and be festive!

Sometimes the Bible covers everything that needs to be said. This verse is one most people know (even Disciples) and all you need to do today is remind yourself that this is the day that the Lord has made. Take a moment to rejoice and be glad in it. Make it festive!

Question: What is one good moment that has happened to you in the last few days?

Oh there are too many to count! Seeing my children’s smiles, the blue skies, the shining sun, the Hawthorne flowers in bloom, listening to Ethan sing, Camille finding a rainbow in our car (from the CD :-) . Making tea for Phil, sitting and talking, touching base with my friends, attending a meeting with friends at church, blowing bubbles with the children. Today is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!

Having the opportunity to share new experiences with Emmalee, both for fun and for personal/professional growth. Makes me so proud to be a mom.

When visiting my son’s family, one evening during dinner, Tyler, age 3, was tired and whimpering. His dad, Jason, invited Tyler to sit on his knee. Tyler folded his shoulders forward and nestled on his father’s chest. Kristina wanted to sit on Dad’s lap too, so Jason invited her to sit on his other knee. She also nestled resting on Jason’s chest. Jason hugged his twins and said, “This must be Daddy heaven.” It was breathtaking for me to see my son so happy with his children.
