LETTER FROM INTERIM SEARCH COMMITTEE

It’s amazing how little you know about the inner workings of a church community until you are smack-dab in the middle of looking for an Interim Minister. The Interim Minister Search Committee has learned a lot in the past few weeks about the job descriptions of our Senior and Associate Ministers and we spent the majority of our meeting this week figuring out which responsibilities and qualities we want our Interim to have as we transition from a 19-year ministry. We spoke with both Stan and Olivia about the tasks they each take on and the responsibilities they currently share as well as how this might change when the Interim arrives.
We also spent time working on our church’s “profile,” the way we would describe our church when it comes to statistics, design, community and philosophy. We will focus more on that next week as it is very important to be able to show potential Interims who we are and what we are looking for.
We welcome your continued prayers as we dig even deeper into “selves,” and we need your help in creating our “profile.” In the next few weeks you will receive a survey slip during worship that we need answered and returned to us.
On behalf of the Interim Minister Search Committee, I thank you for your support.
