Blessed are you when the path is frightful

and you know all manner of fear

         and you choose love anyway.

Active Shooter Training

Officer Phillip McMullin will be offering active shooter training to First Christian Church of Orange staff and other interested individuals on Thursday, December 14, at 10:00 -11:00 a.m., in the sanctuary. We may not be able to stop an individual from inflicting harm but Officer McMullin says there are things we can learn and rehearse to better prepare us for the unthinkable.

Thanksgiving Conversations

Thanksgiving is near. For some of us, that means dinner conversations with relatives with whom we might not see eye-to-eye on climate change. But, it IS possible to find common ground!

Watch a video on how to talk about climate with your family.

The Hot New Fad Everyone Is Talking About (Spoiler: It’s Singing)

For decades, the First Christian Church of Orange Chancel Choir has provided inspiring music to enrich our worship. We’ve been fortunate to have such wonderful and talented singers all these years.

The Chancel Choir has enjoyed a long period of prosperity, but has recently lost many members. Some have moved, others have taken new jobs, while a few have sadly passed on from this big, blue planet.

During this period of rebuilding, we ask those who are musically inclined to join us on Thursday evenings for rehearsal from 7:30-9:00 pm in the Chapel. Like many other church groups, the Chancel Choir has become a family. Not only do we sing together, but we laugh, share, cry, hug, and support each other as we face the ups and downs of life. Please consider joining the Chancel Choir and becoming part of this inspiring group of people.

Blessings and thanks,

Dean Shepherd, Minister of Music
